SEN Teacher
Location:
South East England, Surrey, Walton-on-Thames
Salary:
£120 - £180 per day - depending on experience
Job Duties:
* Prepare and deliver engaging lessons for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet individual student needs
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents/guardians
* Collaborate with SENCO and other support staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
* Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
* Keep accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance
Required Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
* Knowledge of SEN Code of Practise and relevant legislation
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support students with SEN
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
* Excellent classroom management skills
* Proficient in using assistive technology and resources to support learning
Preferred Qualifications:
* Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
* Training in Makaton, PECS, or other communication systems
Working Conditions:
* Work in a school setting with classroom and individual student support
* Regular interaction with students, parents, and other professionals
* Compliance with school policies and procedures related to safeguarding and SEN provision

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
