Job Overview: We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Car Buyer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing vehicles by approaching private sellers through platforms such as AutoTrader and other online marketplaces. This role requires a deep understanding of the automotive market, exceptional negotiation skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Sourcing: Identify and engage with private sellers who have listed vehicles for sale on platforms like AutoTrader, ensuring a consistent pipeline of high-quality vehicles.

Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research to stay informed about market trends, vehicle valuations, and demand for specific makes and models within the premium segment.

Negotiation: Negotiate purchase prices with sellers to secure vehicles at favorable terms, while maintaining positive relationships and upholding the company's reputation.

Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with private sellers, understanding their needs and providing a professional and courteous service throughout the buying process.
Qualifications and Experience:

Automotive Knowledge: Extensive experience in the automotive industry, particularly within the premium and specialist vehicle sector. Familiarity with brands such as Mercedes, Porsche, BMW and Audi is highly desirable

Sales and Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in sales or purchasing roles, with strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.

Market Insight: Strong understanding of vehicle valuations, market trends, and factors influencing the desirability and pricing of premium vehicles.
