Summary/Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Millwork Carpenter to join our client’s team, contributing to high-quality construction projects. This role involves interpreting complex architectural and shop drawings, operating advanced woodworking machinery, and ensuring all finished products meet industry standards and project specifications.
Responsibilities:
1. Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately interpret and work from architectural and shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
2. Machine Setup and Operation: Prepare and configure woodworking machinery (saws, milling, sanding) for component manufacturing.
3. Component Fabrication: Operate woodworking machines to precisely fabricate components according to project specifications.
4. Assembly and Finishing: Utilize hand tools for trimming, assembling, and fine-tuning finished products.
5. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on woodworking machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and blade replacement.
6. Cabinetry Installation: Assist with the installation of cabinetry as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Extensive Woodworking Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the woodworking industry or a related field.
2. CNC Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in CNC programming and design.
3. Design Software Familiarity: Experience with Cabinetvision design software.
4. Specialized Fabrication Skills: Proven experience with dowel case goods, plastic laminate, and custom fabrication techniques.
5. Technical Drawing and Material Calculation: Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings, perform material takeoffs, and quantify materials.
6. Preferred Technical Training: Training in computer applications and automated machinery, especially CNC machines.
7. Safety Certification: OSHA-10 Certification required.
