Our Patient Catering Team is currently going through a period of transformation, and to support this, we are now recruiting for an additional colleague to join our Supervisory team on a permanent basis.
Our Catering Team are passionate about our patients experience, and developing our service to meet the needs of our patients, colleagues and service users, but also that we work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, building upon the trusts foundations and right care values.
You will play an active part in enhancing our Patients and Colleagues Experience, To ensure service delivery and data / information is managed effectively, and that the service is maintained to our service level agreements.
The role will also include, supporting the onboarding of new colleagues, including local induction, training, and delivery of recurrent training of catering colleagues, meal time assurance checks, first line management of a team of catering colleagues which includes patient dining colleagues and our ward based hostess and housekeeper colleagues.

Main duties of the job
To ensure the Company's statutory regulations regarding hygiene, food safety, health and safety and cleanliness in the kitchen and ancillary areas are complied with in all tasks undertaken by staff and by visitors..
To provide high personal standards of performance, hygiene and appearance
Exchange information with catering staff in relation to rotas, catering service and training matters. This is to include :
Ensuring staff know the menu being served
Portion size of the dishes
Presentation
Ensuring correct uniform and friendly and courteous manner to customers
