In this exciting role in our International Finance Directorate, you will lead an emerging portfolio of work on public financial management (PFM) in a range of priority sectors. These would include climate, social protection, private sector, humanitarian, women and girls, infrastructure, digital and tech. The role presents significant scope for learning and development as you carve out new and novel thinking on strengthening PFM systems.
Your focus will be on PFM innovation for enhanced development and growth outcomes. Taking a strategic approach, you will analyse fiscal risks in sectors, propose innovative reforms, and monitor the effectiveness of reforms. Developing a reputation as a thought leader, you will engage often with teams and individuals across Government and internationally, driving dialogue about how to best build responsive and effective PFM systems in priority areas.
You will bring to the role proven skills in governance and political analysis, together with a track record of delivering outcomes in PFM. You understand existing evidence in PFM systems strengthening and public sector governance, and can show how to apply this evidence and thought leadership in policies and programmes. We expect you to take a proactive approach, managing multiple initiatives in a fast-moving environment where creative solutions are welcomed. Your communication and relationship building skills will really set you apart.
