Accounts Manager / Team Manager

My client, a well-established construction sub-contractor, is seeking to appoint someone to manage their accounts department.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in a management role and be able to run the accounts team. Currently, the business turnover is approximately 5M per annum, set to grow in 2025 and 2026.
The role will include overseeing and playing an active role in the daily activities of the accounts team, including:
1. Invoicing
2. Sales
3. Company and project P&L's
4. Budgeting
5. Payroll
6. Forecasting
7. Ensuring the business is operating correctly
8. Adding new processes and procedures to create visibility of the accounts to the SMT
To be academically qualified would be advantageous; however, experience in a similar role and sector would also be highly sought after. As a business, there is a lot of activity, and this will require someone who is used to working within a practical business with lots of moving parts.
This role is a Monday to Friday position, with office hours from 9am to 5pm, totaling 37.5 hours a week on a full-time basis. However, for the right candidate, they are open to flexibility of reduced hours or a 4-day week (pro-rata) should the candidate need flexibility.
