Eden Brown Synergy is looking for a qualified Social Worker to join the Locality Children's Safeguarding team for Birmingham Children's Trust.
Responsibilities:
1. Holding a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans and Children in Need
2. Undertaking Initial Assessments
3. Undertaking Core Assessments
4. Undertaking Child Protection Enquiries
5. Undertaking Pre-Birth Assessments
6. Undertaking Parenting Assessments
7. Undertaking assessments
8. Undertaking Risk Assessments
9. Completion of Section 7 reports requested by Family Courts
10. Completion of Section 37 reports requested by Family Courts
11. Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need
12. Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes to promote the welfare of and to safeguard the children
13. Liaising and working closely with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/young people's needs
14. Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
15. Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
16. Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans
17. Initiating Care Proceedings
18. Completion of Care Proceedings
Essential Requirements:
1. Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
2. At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
3. Social Work England Registration
4. Driving license and access to own vehicle
