Come and join our fantastic practice! We have a unique opportunity for a part-time RVN to join our well-equipped practice based in Dartford. You will be joining a strong nursing team with over 75 years of combined nursing experience. Our friendly team consists of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 1 Head Veterinary Nurse, 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, and 1 Animal Nursing Assistant, who are supported by our wonderfully efficient Receptionists. If you are looking to join a super friendly team in an ideal location that is easily commutable from London, then this role is for you.
Rota Patterns that work for you:
This is a part-time position of up to 24 hours per week, ideally working across Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. You will also be included in our Saturday rota (1 in 3 Saturdays), and in turn, you will receive time off in lieu the following week. There are no OOH shifts.
However, we know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career, and we want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you are looking to fix or flex your work patterns, we can find the right solution for you.
Explore Our RCVS Accredited Practice:
We are an RCVS accredited, established practice with easy access to Dartford town centre and London (we are also located opposite a busy retail park, which is great for lunches or a quick shop before or after work). There is free parking, and upon arriving at our practice, you will be greeted by our light and open waiting room. We have 3 dedicated consult rooms that lead directly onto our open plan preparation area. Our separate theatre is well equipped and provides a dedicated space for sterile procedures. Additionally, the practice has a designated space for diagnostic imagery & dentistry.
Facilities: Our team has access to ultrasound, multiparameter, ECG, in-house lab (including microscope), digital x-ray, dentistry & doppler.
If you wish to speak with someone from the practice, do let us know as we can facilitate this.
What will the role involve?
Our Registered Veterinary Nurses are the backbone of our practice and generally have a hand in most areas of day-to-day operations, including carrying out schedule 3 procedures (subject to appropriate training), anaesthesia monitoring, scrubbing in, inpatient care, nurse clinics, laboratory duties, and more. There will also be some reception duties when needed, such as taking telephone calls, inpatient enquiries, stock control, and unpacking orders.
