Looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our defence client in Bolton on a 12-month contract basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that our products are built efficiently and to budget.
2. Carry out activities in support of multi-project manufacturing.
3. Compile and update Manufacturing Instructions.
4. Design, commission, and prove associated tooling.
5. Support the industrial validation process through the use of FMEA's, FAI's, etc.
6. Resolve technical problems that may arise during the manufacturing process.
7. Implement route card changes as a result of rework activities.
8. Manage Configuration Control by embodying Design Modifications into the Manufacturing Instructions.
9. Support the Non-Conformance Process using SAP.
Role Requirements (Skills, Training, and Qualifications):
1. Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21.
2. Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent certificate.
3. 5 years' experience within an engineering discipline.
4. Ability to interpret Design Drawings to produce Manufacturing Build Instructions for both Skilled and Semi-Skilled operators.
5. Experience of Electronic Sub Assembly manufacture through to System level builds.
6. Knowledge of the assembly process for small/miniature Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems.
7. Ability to work within and contribute to a team environment.
8. Recognise and understand customer requirements, and respond to them.
9. Understand and work to Company Processes and Procedures.
10. Ability to communicate both within the working group and at various levels of the organisation.
11. Manual handling training.
12. ESD training.
