We are looking for someone dynamic who is passionate about transport to join a well established team to monitor developer travel plans and promote active travel across Telford and Wrekin to ensure our future aspirations for are more sustainable borough are being implemented. You need to be creative and have a good understanding of sustainable travel options and be able to present these to others. The successful candidate will be part of the wider Strategic Transport & Highway Network Management team and will be responsible for looking at travel plans from a sustainable and active travel point of view. This involves working with other local settings including schools and businesses to help analyse and increase active travel options and networks. You will need to have excellent organisation and communication skills, work in a timely manner and have experience with working with stakeholders and partners including schools. This role is part of the Active Travel & Road Safety education team and the post holder will be responsible for assisting in tasks and projects that help increase active travel across Telford and Wrekin with a variety of audiences. This will often involve attendance at public events, promotion in schools and the creation and development of marketing materials and campaigns. You will also need to be confident and able to deliver workshops and presentations to different target groups to improve knowledge around road safety and sustainable travel.
