Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is looking for a dynamic individual to join our Emergency Department at the Specialist Critical Care Centre, Grange University Hospital (GUH).
The successful candidate will join a well-established team and will provide clinical and team leadership within a passionate and committed multi-disciplinary team.
The team currently comprises of 26 whole time equivalent Consultants, 1 Associate Specialist, 7 Specialty Doctors, 19 Specialist Registrars, and 26 junior doctors comprising ACCS, GPVTS, F2's, CT posts, ST3 posts, and Clinical Fellow posts.
There is a Consultant Nurse, a team of ENP's and nursing staff with extended scope of practice, a team of ACPs and PAs on the GUH site as well as a CPN led liaison psychiatry service within the Department.
Main duties of the job
This post will be principally based at the GUH, Cwmbran and will be fixed term/secondment for 6 months due to funding.
Some sessions may be located at the peripheral Minor Injury Units at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Nevill Hall Hospital, and Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr or in the ABUHB Flow Centre, Cwmbran.
There would be opportunities for a portfolio career with strong departmental links with the Emergency Medicine Retrieval and Transfer Service, local Critical Care Unit, and local Universities.
The successful candidates must possess excellent background knowledge in Emergency Medicine and an appropriate higher qualification (e.g. FRCEM).
