Community Integrated Care is on an exciting journey of transformation and growth and we are looking to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our People Team based in Widnes.
This is a full time, permanent post and you can be based anywhere in the North West but must be able to travel to our office in Widnes as and when required.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: The Successful candidate will provide expert, high quality advice, coaching and support to our Regional People Team on complex Employee Relations matters. You will help to ensure a fair and consistent approach to the Charity’s policies and procedures, thus promoting a positive Employee Relations culture whilst minimising risks. You will also take an active role in the upskilling of our Regional People Team and Leaders through the creation and delivery of training and supporting projects to continuously improve our Employee Relations framework. Day to Day (list not exhaustive see attached job description)
8. Acting as a point of escalation to advise, guide and support Regional People Team members with complex matters relating to Employee Relations issues so that they are able to support cases to be dealt with in a timely, effective and consistent way.
9. Oversee ER matters such as: disciplinaries, grievance, performance management, flexible working, to ensure legal compliance, consistency of application and minimise risk to the organisation.
10. To contribute to the development of the Employee Relations Training Plan to ensure the on-going development of the Regional People Team and Leaders in effectively managing ER matters, best practice and legal changes.
11. To coach and upskill managers through training and to effectively enable them to lead on ER cases.
12. Developing effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations across the organisation and high levels of staff engagement and performance.
13. Monitoring trends and patterns in employment practices using MI and advising on appropriate proactive action as a result.
14. To create, review and update policies and procedures as and when required in line with Employment Law and organisational requirements.
15. To undertake case reviews to learn lessons, share best practice, promote consistency and reduce risk to the Charity.
16. To contribute to organisational projects to continuously improve our Employee Relations framework.
Your values: Our ideal Candidate Skills and Experience
17. CIPD qualification is desirable but experienced candidates will be considered.
18. Proven experience of managing complex employee relations cases and full and detailed understanding of HR policies and employment legislation.
19. Experience of working in a fast paced, high volume caseload organisation.
20. Experience of creating and delivering training in the effective management of ER issues
21. Experience in clinical environment where CQC/Care Inspectorate regulations have been in force (Desirable)
22. Knowledge of Employment Law and its practical application.
23. Knowledge of ER procedures and processes – Early Conciliation, Employment Tribunals, Discrimination.
