Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Manager, E-Commerce Operations to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position will be based out of Nottingham facility.
WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
* Oversees and owns all daily eCommerce operations globally, directly managing 4 x DECIEM ran sites and 2 x 3PL operations (with plan to increase).
* Department Lead for Environment, Health & Safety: overall administration and implementation of EHS including initiatives, programs and procedures with a key focus on developing and implementing operational risk assessments to help in identifying & mitigating hazards for critical activities.
* Lead, guide, manage and continuously develop hired E-Commerce Operations Managers and teams with people management and performance development, performance improvement challenges and HR related issues up to disciplinary and dismissal across all sites with a key focus on employee engagement throughout.
* Responsible for leading a culture of continuous improvement and standardization of e-commerce operational processes to ensure all needed processes are performed at peak ability including receipt, put away, pick & pack, cycle counting and order processing (on-time/in-full order fulfillment, internal SLAs, returns processing, etc.).
* Creation, development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures to effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce fulfillment centers.
* Monitor and own ecommerce operations start to end; ability to analyze, investigate, and determine the root cause of issues or bottlenecks preventing perfect order fulfillment and focus on cost saving or increased throughput activities.
* Super User and contact lead of ERP system including daily monitoring and issue resolving that does not allow for perfect fulfillment experience.
* Monitor advancements in e-commerce order fulfillment automation and digital space for opportunities and new ideas to improve consumers’ order experience.
* Manage and liaise with IT (and PMO if applicable) to ensure all e-commerce operational project requests are communicated to IT with detailed user requirements.
* Monitor progress of IT projects & ensure proper UAT, documentation is in place for flawless execution, and all functionality in pre-production and production fully tested to ensure seamless consumer experience.
* Manage change from the initial benefits case through to detailed scoping/design, operational readiness and to support benefits realization once live.
* Identify and drive quick win initiatives within Operations that support longer term business objectives.
* Cross collaboration with DECIEM departments to enable reporting on multiple eCommerce areas with the key goal of improvement- including but not limited to cost reduction, increased throughput, improved customer experience and safest practices.
* Oversee our logistics partners to ensure daily dispatches are accurate and orders are fulfilled on time and accurately.
* Collaborate with Corporate Transportation Department to ensure fastest high touch delivery service with minimum transportation cost.
* Collate all information related to eCommerce fulfillment, update monthly Management reports, and present to leadership.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
* Advanced knowledge of Excel and ERP experience (MS Dynamics 365 preferred).
* Experience overseeing multiple fulfilment centres across different continents.
* Familiarity with e-Com software (SalesForce, payment gateways, online fraud tools, personalization tools, etc.). SalesForce and Zenkraft experience is an asset.
* 4+ years of experience as a people manager.
* Relevant education in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business, OR equivalent work experience in e-commerce operations, (preferably in a top e-commerce firm, e-tailer, e-commerce fulfillment company, or e-com division of FMCG, Fashion, or Cosmetics company) is an asset.
