We have an opportunity for a Host/Hostess to join their team of staff in the Hospitality department. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. This role offers 30% pay uplift on unsocial weekdays, 40% uplift of unsocial weekends, and 50% uplift on bank holidays. Duties of this role include: Attend service briefings from the Hospital Service Lead Ensure that all patients and visitors to the Hospital receive the agreed high quality food. Ensuring that all food and drinks orders are taken, prepared and served to the agreed standard, menus for each service are organised and that guests/patients are served according to their requirements. Ensure the associated documentation is completed and maintained in relation to visitors to back-of-house areas. Ensuring that the kitchen department is appropriately staffed in accordance to hospital requirements. Contribute as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, sharing an understanding of others and skills and priorities. To safeguard the welfare and safety of clients and staff in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Regulations, COSHH, manual handling and fire regulations, company and local policies and procedures. To pass on factual information accurately and in a timely manner to the appropriate person. To adapt a level of communication and avoid jargon to facilitate understanding by the listener. To complete all relevant documentation pertinent to the department.
