Manufacturing Operator
Position Summary
Working within the Powder Processing Department to meet customer needs.
What We're Looking For
We seek a committed team player with a manufacturing background to work shifts of 3 nights (12 hours) followed by 4 days (12 hours). Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring Health and Safety standards are met, including assisting with risk assessments and providing solutions to current issues.
* Enforcing quality procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality product delivery.
* Ensuring the production area is adequately stocked with raw materials and consumables.
* Optimizing stock levels of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
* Maintaining efficient stock records and process monitoring systems.
Main Responsibilities
As a Powder Process Operator, you will be responsible for:
* Preparation of raw materials.
* Oven loading/unloading.
* Turbo loading/unloading.
* Crushing dried sinter.
* Tableting powder.
* FIBC loading and storage.
* BN/TiB2 sinter/reclaim IMC processing.
* Jet milling of TiB2, Reclaim, and BN.
* Blending of jet-milled powders.
* Bag/drum filling from IBC.
* Safe handling of chemicals with COSHH awareness.
* Driving improvements in the area under control.
* Liaising with the Engineering Coordinator through the Team Leader to ensure high plant availability, including plant condition monitoring.
* Assisting in the development of new and existing products.
Experience Required
* Essential: Manufacturing experience in a in hot physical work place.
* Desirable: FLT license (training available for the right candidate).
* Beneficial: Furnace experience.
Salary:
£34,265 : (£26,770 plus 28% shift allowance)
