Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced sales leader to join our B2B Reseller team, within the Mobile eXperience (MX) division. You’ll lead the engagement and drive sales with a group of around 10 to 15 of our biggest and most strategically significant resellers.
You’ll drive the sales of hardware (smartphone, tablet, PC) and software (Knox Suite) by building account plans, creating sales investments, fostering positive customer relationships and ultimately driving pipeline and run rate sales of Samsung products.
This is a ‘player-manager’ role, so you’ll have both individual responsibility for 3 to 5 accounts, and reporting into you a team of national account managers with responsibility for a further 7 to 12.
Role and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
Customer
* Cultivate productive relationships with key partners across customer vendor management, sales and commercial teams.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for your customers, offering guidance in navigating the different teams and partners within Samsung.
* Build joint account plans which detail the short, medium and long-term objectives and measure their success.
* Communicate, drive and manage commercial investments – Sell Out Allowances, Promotions, Discounts etc.
* Ensure the customers share agreed data with Samsung to measure performance – sell out, end customer, in house share etc.
* Share back into Samsung, the ‘voice of the customer’ to provide feedback and help drive Samsung strategy.
* Lead end-customer pipeline of large opportunities.
* Implement the wider MX sales strategy to maximise growth opportunities, including the identification of new business channels and product lines.
Commercial
* Achieve profitable sales revenue growth by effectively managing Samsung targets, performance indicators, and initiatives.
* Own the internal commercial planning process for Smartphone, Tablet & PC on your accounts.
* Meet and exceed Performance Vs Quarterly/Half and Annual targets.
* Carry out regular planning and analysis to find opportunities and gaps and provide solutions to our customers that ensure a positive return on investment.
* Analyse customer and market data to identify growth opportunities and build plans to implement and achieve growth.
Your key people management responsibilities – Leading Others Only
* Provide clarity on strategy, team purpose & value and define the key areas of focus and direction.
* Support the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities.
* Organise, lead, motivate and support 2 x National Account Managers to help drive sales in their customers.
* Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety.
* Ensure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT’s and relevant business updates.
* Manage the onboarding, offboarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team members.
* Manage all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner.

The interview process
* Up to 3 rounds of interviews as required. You will have the opportunity to meet the hiring manager, other members of the team and head of department.
* The interviews will be competency based and will be a mixture of remote and in person at our Chertsey office.
* There may be a short commercial presentation exercise, details to follow.
