Hybrid - 2 to 3 days per week in either Newport, South Wales, Titchfield, Hampshire, Edinburgh or Darlington offices.

Job Description
The purpose of the Junior Data Scientist (HEO), Data Scientist (SEO) and Senior Data Scientist (G7) is to code, manipulate, engineer, model and analyse data and/or data processes to underpin Data Architecture and support internal and external users.
Key Responsibilities
1. Identify complex business problems whilst leveraging data value.
2. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with data architects, data engineers, analysts, and others.
3. Understand where data science can add value to policy and operations teams.
4. Support strategic and operational decision making to create impact.
5. Source, access, manipulate, and engineer data processes with data that typically have characteristics of volume, velocity, and variety.
6. Build credible statistical models from the data and use best coding practices to generate reproducible work.
7. Adhere to the data science ethics framework.
8. Explore and visualise data to present the 'story' of the data meaningfully.
9. Use an evolving range of data analysis tools and techniques, including open source.
10. Continuously seek to expand technical skills and leadership development.
11. Propagate data science skills in other teams.
