Purpose of the Role
The role of Product Assistant will support the business in driving forward the Destination2 product range in line with an ambitious growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for supporting the Product Manager in negotiating market-leading rates, exclusive offers and availability with suppliers
2. Aiding in the creation of the product strategy for designated destinations, specifically completing market research, competitor analysis and product performance reviews
3. Supporting in the development and management of supplier relationships across a range of product types and across a range of international destinations
4. Responsibility for ensuring suppliers pass across all information ready for loading into our booking systems
5. Ensuring our Product remains competitive through analysis of rates versus competition, and the follow-up required with suppliers
6. Helping to ensure all designated Product lines and suppliers adhere to full Health and Safety requirements
7. Supporting the sales teams with product training and information
The Person: Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Ideally have previous experience working within a Product/Purchasing/Sales role, specialising in the Far East within a UK Tour Operator
2. Excellent attention to detail
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
4. Manage a diverse range of duties at one time
5. Ability to organise, prioritise and manage own workload efficiently to tight deadlines

This is a FULL-TIME office-based role where you will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
