Job summary An exciting vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Dietitian to work as a Paediatric Diabetes Dietitian for Morecambe Bay Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This part time (0.5wte) post would ideally be suited to a specialist Dietitian looking to advance their skills and knowledge or an advanced Dietitian with relevant clinical experience. Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for managing a complex caseload of Paediatric patients with Diabetes. You will be joining a supportive and experienced team of Consultants, Specialist Nurses, Dietitians, Dietetic Assistants and supporting admin and clerical staff who are responsible for providing a service across social and health care boundaries. You will work closely with the Paediatric Diabetes team, Dietitians and other professionals in both acute and primary care. About us We operatefrom three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverstonCommunity Health Centre. FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services. Ability to travel between the Trust sites as required WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses. All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies,daycase and inpatient surgery.
