Job Description Job Title: Project Manager - Construction of Leisure Centres We seek an experienced and driven Project Manager to oversee the construction of leisure centres across the UK. The initial project being in either Epping or Bedford. whichever is closest to you. The successful candidate will lead the project team and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Reporting to Visiting Construction Director and leading Site Management, with support from Design Management and Commercial Team. This is a repeat client, and a well-established subcontractor base can be relied upon. You will lead the overall strategy. Logistics, quality, safety, and client interaction to ensure timely, high-quality completion. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the construction of a£30m new build leisure centres from planning to completion, while ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial control and accountability throughout the project lifecycle. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that milestones and deliverables are achieved on time and within budget. Manage project risks, including identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards, including health and safety and environmental regulations. Manage project documentation, ensuring that all project records and reports are accurate, up-to-date, and readily available. Lead and manage a team of project staff, including contractors and consultants, to ensure that all project objectives are met. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree/BTEC in Construction/ Engineering, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in construction or related industries. Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading teams and managing project stakeholders. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Proven track record of successful project delivery, with experience in managing complex construction projects. Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards, including health and safety and environmental regulations. Proficiency in project management software, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar. Willingness to travel to project sites across the region.
