We are seeking an enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our newly developed rotational programme. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain valuable diverse experience within the community working across a number of services delivering care to inpatients, outpatients and in patient homes.
Rotations are six months and include the Community Respiratory Team, Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Inpatient Intermediate Care Unit, Sub-acute Medical Wards, and Neurological Rehabilitation wards with placements across Birmingham.
This post offers an exciting challenge to work across multiple specialities developing holistic assessment skills to manage a wide range of conditions across different aspects of community healthcare.
This is an ideal opportunity for a dynamic, pro-active clinician to be part of our team requiring innovation and creativity in the post to help shape the future delivery of therapy care.
Advert
* To be responsible for the clinical diagnosis, assessment and ongoing physiotherapeutic management of In-Patients. Conditions may include complex permanent disabilities, multiple pathologies, life-limiting conditions and challenging and unpredictable behaviours.
* To provide physiotherapy on the bedded units/gym setting and to undertake assessments of patients in their own homes prior to discharge.
* To work with and provide support to more junior colleagues, PT students on placement and work experience students.
* To act as a source of advice and information for colleagues of all disciplines, patients and their carers/relatives.
* To promote and maintain the ethos of PT in all clinical and professional activities.
