Our Client, a Water & Civil Engineering contractor, is seeking an HSEQ Advisor to join their team in the West Midlands to work across a number of Water frameworks part of AMP8.
Experience Required for HSEQ Advisor:
1. NEBOSH construction or general certificate as a minimum with Tech IOSH association.
2. Environmental qualifications such as an IEMA foundation certificate or NEBOSH environmental certificate.
3. A working knowledge of CDM 2015 - CSCS card or SHEA/EUSR equivalent.
4. Experience developing and implementing RAMS/SSOW.
5. Practical experience of HSEQ within a construction setting.
6. Experience working on UK legislation.
7. Full UK driving license.
8. Ability to communicate at all levels.
9. An active interest in the more technical aspects of construction such as tunnelling, shaft installation and cofferdams.
10. Knowledge of quality controls associated with company work activities.
11. Experience in conducting incident investigations.
12. Analytical skills to interpret detailed information and regulations.
13. Extensive HSEQ experience within a civil engineering environment, particularly within the water or utilities sector. (Desirable)
14. Level 3 incident investigation. (Desirable)
15. Experience in data reporting and trending particularly with the use of Power BI. (Desirable)
Job Responsibilities for HSEQ Advisor:
1. Support the provision of Health & well-being within the business, under the direction of the HSEQ Manager.
2. Provide consistent and accurate HSEQ advice and support to employees, supporting the regions with HSEQ initiatives.
3. Produce and communicate HSEQ alerts following incidents and poor-quality standards to promote learning and prevention and continual improvement.
4. Monitoring, verifying & reporting HSEQ statistics for regions on a monthly basis as directed.
5. Log all significant PI's, Minor Injuries, RIDDORS onto Envoy completing the investigation (for significant PI's, RIDDORS, LTi's) and producing a safety alert within 4 working days.
6. Produce monthly HSEQ report for HSEQ Manager and Regional Lead incorporating locally agreed information and content.
7. Monitor Regional HSEQ trends highlighting areas for improvement and supporting Regional Leads on improvement deliverables.
8. Produce and cascade monthly PI posters with 'closing the loop' information.
9. Update the SEQ Detailed Inspection Trending /Tracker Spreadsheet under the Regional folder on the shared safety drive.
10. Log Cardinal Rule non-conformances emanating from Detailed Inspections onto Envoy linking responsibility for closure. Include outstanding closures in a monthly report to the Regional Lead.
11. Coordinate data and actions from contact with Enforcement Agencies ensuring that all contacts are logged on CF152-50 Enforcement Authorities Form and outstanding actions closed.
12. Provide support and advice following HSEQ Advisor responsibilities set out in CPR636 Process for Managing Facilities Management Pack.
13. Complete HSEQ Detailed Inspections and HSEQ Advisory Notes per month (as agreed with the HSE Manager).
14. Undertake timely investigations.
