Job Title: CNC Miller Setter Operator
Location: Willenhall
Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00 and Fridays 07:30 to 12:30
Pay Rate: £30000 - £34000
An innovative organisation in a specialist defence related industry is looking for a Setter, Operator to join their team. The candidate must be a UK national and will need to pass security vetting upon employment.

Who can do this?
1. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled professional, preferably time-served and experienced in CNC machining within a Setter/Operator role to safely and accurately perform milling with 3, 4 & 5 axis.
2. You must be able to work with great concentration and attention to detail and great mechanical aptitude.
3. The goal is to produce high quality parts with a precision engineering environment.
What’s the job?
1. Proven experience as CNC Setter, Operator.
2. Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
3. Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
4. Computer literate with an ability to be able to edit & adjust CNC programs.
5. Mechanical aptitude and good math skills, with a keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.
6. Good communication abilities.
7. Ability to work as part of a small team.
8. Experience of HAAS CNC machines advantageous.
Skills & Attributes:
1. Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling and milling.
2. Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading engineering drawings, mechanical drawings.
3. Prepare a test run to prove out both new and existing CNC programs.
4. Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result and inspect and measure finished products to determine if the process has been completed properly.
5. Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
