Job summary As a Clerical Bank worker you may be the first point of contact for patients across Mid and South Essex, answering important queries and providing reassurance where required. You will be expected to manage and amend appointments and clinics through clear communication and the confident use of systems, working within the Trust's policies, procedures, and Trust values. We currently have lines of work 3 months available at our Basildon site with an immediate start post recruitment checks being completed and would normally expect Clerical bank work to cover the Monday to Friday working week. Right to work - we are unable to offer sponsorship for Bank roles Main duties of the job ? Ensure targets are met with future appointments booked in receipt of referral ? Cancel and/or restructure clinics, make template changes and ensure all are fully utilised ? Prioritise workload and escalate any relevant issues effectively ? Sensitively explain when appointments have been cancelled or changed and negotiate a new booking with patients ? Deal with patient complaints / challenging conversations when necessary ? The post will vary depending on the assignment and location of role to enable to contribute to an efficient cost effective service across the Trust ? General Administration skills and experience are essential alongside excellent time management, organisational and communication skills ? All Temporary Staffing workers should have a flexible approach to work ? Strong verbal communication skills are required when conversing with patients/carers and members of the team ? Maintain good relationships and an empathetic approach to patients and patients' relatives ? Communicates with others in accordance with the Trust's behaviours and values ?
