Job Description
1. Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly reporting, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required.
2. Analyze monthly P&L and month-end reports, identifying deviations from business plan goals.
3. Work with Finance and the team in preparation and management of the department’s budget and financial forecasts.
4. Participate in management meetings to review progress towards achievement of business plan goals and develop the annual business plan related for the department.
5. Conduct daily briefings with the department on current key activities.
6. Direct and manage all group, transient, and catering/banquet sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotel.
7. Survey, review and analyze competition, market trends, customer needs and comments to be proactive and adapt with business intelligence.
8. Determine the effectiveness of existing programs and develop new strategies.
9. Manage/direct all advertising, public relations and promotional activities in conjunction with corporate marketing and public relations departments.
10. Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings.
11. Evaluate changes in guest needs, the guest mix and competitive set to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes as necessary.
12. Participate in community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and promote a positive image.
13. Interview, select and recruit direct reports.
14. Identify and develop team members with potential.
15. Conduct performance reviews and manage performance issues that arise within the management team.
16. Constantly monitor team members' performance, attitude and degree of professionalism.
17. Work with the Talent & Culture function to ensure appropriate hiring, training, motivating, coaching, counseling, and development of team members according to the changing needs of the business.
18. Conduct monthly departmental meetings.
19. Be fully conversant with hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
20. Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management.
21. Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
22. Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management.
23. Study, analyze and interpret complex activities and/or information in order to improve strategies or develop new approaches.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of sales management experience or at least 2 years experience in a similar capacity with proven records.
High degree of professionalism with a strong understanding of the global market and business acumen.
Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language; Chinese language preferred.
Proficient in Ms. Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
Knowledge of the Singaporean market is a plus.
