We are expanding our Business Development team within the Space Business Unit to take on new challenges and projects within the UK Space Sector.
The Space programmes manager will seek out and secure commercial opportunities for GMV that exist within the UK governmental (civil/defence) and UK commercial space programmes. The priority focus shall be on growing and developing new business in areas related to ground segments and systems, supporting major ongoing and planned satellite missions.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
You will be supporting the team in defining, developing and implementing the GMV strategy within the UK space programmes and among related customers. Contributing to the development and implementation of the GMV strategic plan, in connection with UK programmes. Identifying the opportunities for GMV within the UK National Space Strategy, the Integrated Review and the Spending Review as well as within commercial space programmes being driven from the UK.
In our team you will develop and manage:
* Secure significant roles for GMV business within UK governmental programmes that target space infrastructure/operations, new technologies, service provision, terminals/devices and user applications/services.
* Capture business depending on the specific needs of each programme whether it requires make or buy, maintenance/operations as well as evolutions/extensions.
* Participate in UK government infrastructure programmes to develop new "downstream" markets targeting commercial applications and services.
* Assess the business opportunities emerging within the UK government programmes for generating business within the Five Eyes community and with other friends and allies.
* Represent GMV in the UK institutions and multinational organisations.
* Participate in UK industry-related and other professional events.
* Promote and reinforce the reputation of GMV within UK government and industry bodies and committees.
* Identify, plan and implement the required security provisions to ensure GMV is an accredited contractor within the UK programmes for its UK customers.
* Collaborate and coordinate with the Flight BU Directors, the Strategic and Business Development Directors, and the Country Director within GMV UK and Internationally.
WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?
We are looking for experts in Business Development with background and interest in Space and Government technologies.
We will also value previous experience and knowledge in Defence and Space applications:
* Previous experience and knowledge within the UK space industry and Government projects and requirements.
* Previous experience in bids and tender management within Government programmes.
* Previous Security clearance at SC would be desired.
