The Opportunity: Our client, a global and worldwide leader in the chemical manufacturing industry and based in Teesside, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team. The role offers an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the role, with direct exposure to the Senior Leadership Team. Main duties/responsibilities: Month-end preparation of accruals and prepayments; Post journals; Balance Sheet reconciliations; Reconciliations of Management Accounts to Group Reporting; Manage and review bank reconciliation process; Run weekly and monthly debtor and creditor reports; Drive monthly cost centre manager meetings; Provide weekly cash position forecast summary to Group; Control and update IFRS16 Reporting to Group; Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns; Coordinate annual budget process; Prepare draft and final annual corporation tax packs; Support external audit process; and Ad hoc duties and project involvement.
