Highly successful Sales Order team seeks a skills Sales Order Specialist to work closely with our salesorganization in preparingand validating license & support deals (not renewals) for submission to Order Service Coordinators. You’ll serves as a single point of contact for field sales for UK & Ireland and NL & GOSI, operating independently and providing support to other team members when needed.
This is a highly visible role working with some of our most successful sales teams, supporting prestigious enterprise clients.
As a Sales Order Specialist you’ll be responsible for:
8. Providing guidance and support to sales on quote preparation related to Commercial-, Legal- and RevRec policies, order processing and customer order issues.
9. Providing Legal Level 1 support and generate contractual agreements.
10. Order Processing – Review, validate and process all orders in with focus on accuracy and completion for submission.
11. Proactively communicate with Field Sales and/or managers on order issues and keep them informed of any problems resolving issues.
12. Ensure all orders are submitted on a timely basis according to established order submission deadlines.
13. Develop & maintain a detailed working knowledge of Revenue Recognition and Revenue Accounting policies concerning the licensing of software & support, SOX controls applicable to the Quote to Cash process, Order Entry (OE+) application, SFDC and Siebel to support order management.
14. Provide support and assist in the resolution & clarification of order information, invoicing, collections, and passwords.
15. Develop in-depth knowledge of BMCs licensing model, and pricing, to provide quoting support to our EMEA Sales Team
16. Proactively acts to understand customer needs and identify solutions to nonstandard tasks/queries.
17. Takes action to monitor and control costs within own work horizons.
18. Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data; takes a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions.
19. Shares own experience/ knowledge with others; provides guidance and support to less experienced colleagues.
To be a successful Sales Order Specialist we ideally look for:
20. Must possess strong attention to detail, accuracy and completeness with regard to all processes.
21. Must have a proven ability to work collaboratively and courteously, with others to obtain all required documentation necessary to perform and realize revenue on license sale.
22. Must have the ability to work remotely and use escalation process.
23. Clear and grammatically correct verbal and written communication skills are required.
24. Ideally knowledge and experience of Order Services back-office applications, with good understanding of administrative processes.
25. Knowledge and experience with license and/or software accounting, legal operations, and understanding of license revenue recognition requirements is highly desirable.
26. Working knowledge of Oracle, SFDC and financial operations processes.
27. Working knowledge of Office suite Application
28. Intermediate-level experience with Business Objects is a plus.
29. Working knowledge with Communication Tools such as Phone, messaging, Chat, Share applications.
30. Ability to see, define and resolve issues, with a balanced desire to tackle both tactical and root-cause issues is a plus.
31. Ability to work on multi transaction within a range of complexity.
32. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
33. Ability to adapt informative style to an audience, capable of explaining difficult information clearly, establishes consensus and attains agreement.
34. Create an informal network within team and other BMC departments.
