IT Systems Engineer sought by a major global manufacturer to join their head office in Ross-on-Wye.
Flexible hours are available for this role and 50% hybrid working will be available after probation should you wish to use it.
The Role:
As an IT Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll join the international team supporting and developing the company’s IT infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving this infrastructure. Your key duties will include:
1. Network device management e.g. switches, routers, VLANs, WiFi etc
2. Administrating and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server
3. Operating network services: AD, DHCP, DNS etc
4. Supporting EDR solutions
5. IT project management including evaluating alternative solutions and managing implementation
6. Delivering solutions for the company in conjunction with 3rd party providers
7. Upgrading previous IT solutions and implementing new ones
8. Supporting IT colleagues with troubleshooting employee PC issues
9. Designing and implementing new technical processes and policies
The successful IT Systems Engineer will demonstrate:
10. Experience in a similar IT / Network / Infrastructure / Systems Engineer role
11. Experience of working in an ITIL based environment
12. Excellent Windows Server and Client skills
13. Excellent understanding of networking, ideally Cisco
14. Ability to collaborate with multiple teams across the company
15. Ability to work independently and on your own initiative
16. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
17. Strong attention to detail
18. Full UK driving licence as occasional travel within the UK will be required for incident management and project work

19. Up to £45,000 salary, depending on experience
