THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Installation and commissioning of control systems used in the dust and fume extraction industry. Provide first line call out and service support for our customers. Routine planned servicing to products within our digital portfolio, or similar. Undertake health checks on existing digital, electronic and electrical installations. Undertake electrical installations. Commission electrical installations with support from an LEV engineer to take measurements. Attend to breakdown on our digital products and other electronic/electrical issues. Undertake and assist with site surveys KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Solid and natural aptitude for engineering processes Proven track record in field service activities Familiar with industrial control systems Can program PLCs Experience working with HMI products Experience working with automation Profibus, Profinet and BACnet knowledge preferred. Conversant with inverters and their configuration, setting and programming. Electronic and Electrical competence (formal qualifications to support) Experience working in the dust and fume/ wood manufacturing industries would be advantageous Experience of LEV testing an advantage Electrical qualifications and experience an advantage QUALIFICATIONS 18th Edition Electrical Full ‘clean’ driving licence Competence in the inspection and testing of electrical installations.(Level 3) BEHAVIOUR & COMPETENCE Self-motivated / proactive attitude Problem solving and analytical ability Team player – excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to travel at short notice, possibly internationally Able to work variable hours including weekends and nights (Sometimes it is necessary to facilitate night work to work around customers shift patterns) Mainland UK based engineer
