The Opportunity:
If you are either an experienced Process Chemist OR a Chemical Engineering or Chemistry graduate, then this could be the perfect role for you. This position will involve working in a Chemical Laboratory and is a Late Shift position, working Tuesday to Friday 12 Noon to 10.30pm on each of those 4 evenings. (This attracts a shift premium of £28pcm).
The Role
This vacancy is a great opportunity for you to progress in a busy, hands on laboratory and factory setting.
Working in a well-established, award winning facility as part of a small Chemistry team on the late shift, working a 4 day week but earning a full time salary.
The successful candidate will assist the Senior Process Chemist in the analyses, control and maintenance of all wet processes/chemistry and assist in the running of the water and chemical waste treatment.
Control and troubleshooting of all wet processes (Chemistry)
Involved in the installation and commission of new equipment and processes
Maintain machinery and equipment in accordance with maintenance schedule
Ensure that water and chemical waste treatment controls are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
Use of documentation control systems – paper and electronicWhat you will bring to the Team:
Preferably 2+ years of experience in a Chemists role.
Logical thinking and a good application of the scientific method.
A degree in Chemical Engineering or another Chemistry based qualification.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent data and statistical analysis skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of detail.
Good understanding of technical documentation.
The ability to work unsupervised in a Night Shift role.Benefits:
The starting salary is £27,552. After 6 months and subject to meeting the required performance criteria their salary will increase to £29,232.
