Liberty Steel Group have an exciting opportunity for a methodical and analytical Lifting Equipment Inspector with a keen eye for detail and accuracy to join the team within the Engineering Services department who provide inspection and repair services to the wider business. This role is predominantly working at the Rotherham and Stocksbridge site but may provide occasional opportunity to travel to other Liberty Steel UK sites.

The Role of the Lifting Tackle Inspector
9. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will work well both in a team and on individual projects.
10. Good knowledge of safe working procedures and knowing how to apply recognised safety practices to each task performed is essential for this position.
11. The ideal candidate should have LEEA Advanced programme Training Certification and / or alternatively are a time served apprentice looking for their next challenge.
12. Experience within the Lifting Equipment Inspection & Repair industry is preferred for this role.
Requirements of the Lifting Tackle Inspector
Experience of carrying out Lifting Equipment inspections on items not limited to:
13. Chains
14. Slings
15. Shackles
16. Manual/Powered Hoists
17. Lifting Beams
18. Runway Beams
19. Good knowledge of inspection techniques applicable to Lifting Equipment
20. A good understanding of the fundamentals of general engineering
21. Good verbal & written communication
22. Full UK driving licence
The Working Pattern of the Lifting Tackle Inspector
The working pattern is Monday to Friday days with alternative week Saturday & Sunday days working with days off midweek, with opportunity for occasional overtime working for which a premium is paid.
