Location: Solihull, B92 Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant Grade/Level: Foundation Stage (EYFS) Start Date: next Monday Day Rate: £90 - £102 Job Overview: Josh of Aspire People is seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join a whimsical schools Foundation Stage team, working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with emphasis on working with 2 children with ASD and hearing impairments. The role will focus on supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), particularly those who are non-verbal and have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or hearing impairments. Key Responsibilities: Support the learning and development of non-verbal children, particularly those with ASD and hearing impairments. Help develop and implement strategies to increase communication and social engagement. Assist with creating an inclusive learning environment that caters to the needs of all students. Provide one-on-one or small group support to children as required. Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and other staff to plan and deliver individualised education plans (IEPs). Foster a nurturing environment that encourages positive behaviours and supports emotional and social development. Participate in assessments and monitor children's progress. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in your care. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with non-verbal children or those with ASD and hearing impairments. A calm and patient approach, with the ability to engage children who may have additional needs. A passion for supporting children's communication development. Understanding of EYFS curriculum and child development. Good communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. A positive and proactive attitude to working as part of a team. Qualifications: Minimum of a child related degree or equivalent in a relevant field. Relevant experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly in early years settings, is desirable but not essential. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
