Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for clinical support workers vacancies on ward 17 which is a respiratory ward. We have a 24 bedded unit, which provides care for patients with chronic respiratory conditions, which also include tracheostomy patients, non-invasive ventilation, and patients with lung cancer.
We are currently looking for 1 full-time permanent Clinical Support Worker who is enthusiastic and motivated to join our team.

Main duties of the job
Clinical Support Worker
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, in accordance with the care plan. These duties will include the delivery of hygiene care, nutrition and hydration, continence care, pressure area care, mobility, and rehabilitation.
- Therapeutically engaging with patients and their families, some of whom will have dementia. The ward welcomes anyone with an interest in activity and entertainment that patients and staff will enjoy.
- Being part of the wider MDT and making a daily contribution to the care patients receive.
- Support registered nursing staff with clinical treatments and investigations as appropriate, to the level of knowledge and skill.

- Report changes to patients' health status to trained nurse for action.
- Support registered nursing staff with clinical treatments and investigations as appropriate, to the level of knowledge and skill. This may include the escort of patients to other departments within the hospital and, on occasion, to other departments and specialist units off-site.
