Role Description
The role of Client Manager is to build relationships with clients and to have direct responsibility for client portfolios. They are responsible for the delivery of an outstanding service to clients. The role requires an influential leader who can build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and who can deliver for the business and for clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing a portfolio of clients, leading client meetings, and advising clients.
2. Manage all aspects of client relationship including quoting, agreeing services, invoicing, payment method, and annual engagement renewal.
3. Assist in the production of Management and Annual Accounts, forecasts, and performance reports.
4. Build strong relationships with professional contacts, e.g., IFAs, solicitors, and financial institutions to encourage referrals and access funding and support for clients.
5. Mentor team, providing feedback, training, and support to ensure accurate, efficient, and profitable service.
6. Report to the Directors on portfolio performance and internal targets set.
Key Requirements
1. ACCA or ACA qualified.
2. Tax experience desirable.
3. 3+ years of experience working in a practice.
Additional Requirements
Demonstrates extensive knowledge and application of current UK accounting standards, tax legislation, technical issues, and related matters, and updates team on new developments and standards. Commercial, detailed, analytical, driven, ethical, engaging, honest, decisive, professional, confident, organised, strategic. Good working knowledge of Excel and ability to learn and use bookkeeping packages such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.
