As the Procurement and Contracts Assistant, you will be proactive, creative, and adaptable, with an efficient approach to all commercial activities to reduce risk and maximize budgets in support of Council objectives. Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and implementing procurement strategies
* Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers
* Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers
* Ensuring compliance with procurement regulations
* Managing procurement processes and documentation
Requirements:
* Professional certification in procurement or contracts management, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement and contracts management
* Strong understanding of procurement processes and regulations
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills
* Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
