We have an exciting new opportunity for a Financial Planning & Analysis Partner to join our global finance team. This will be a highly visible role where you will support the delivery of timely and accurate analysis, forecasts and reports to the Senior Finance Team, Victrex Management Team and the wider business. We offer a hybrid work structure where employees work from the office but have the option to work some days remotely based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged for tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.
More about the role
As Financial Planning & Analysis Partner you will be responsible for the following accountabilities.
* Provide reliable and insightful data, commentary and analysis to be included in internal reports and KPIs for reporting to the management team and Board.
* Day to day co-ordination and management of budget, forecasting and strategy processes, including maintaining the financial planning models and performing first level of reviews of outputs and identification of unexpected movements.
* Deliver year-end and half-year reports and analysis of business performance for internal and external reports including to support the external audit.
* Lead the development of and drive the use of automated reports and BI reporting across the finance team and wider business.
* Manage the development, report writing and master data updates to the group forecasting system, Anaplan, including training of finance team and integration with other functional users.
* Responding to the business/finance team adhoc requests, understanding the requirement and being about to extract data and reports which answer key stakeholder questions.
Your experience
To thrive in this role you will be an ambitious individual, enjoy working in a team environment, have a can-do attitude with a strong attention to detail and be keen to develop your career in FP&A / commercial finance. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and strong stakeholder management at all levels. You won’t be afraid to challenge the status quo and offer alternative solutions to interesting problems.
To thrive in this role, you will have a passion for data and have developed intermediate / advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. You will also have proven experience in, and a desire to continually improve (through both self-study and supported learning), using Business Intelligence tools (preferably report writing), financial forecasting software and handling large data sets. You will also be familiar with ERP systems.
Our ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of financial statements and financial information, with an eye for detail and getting things right first time. As well as the ability to translate and distil financial information into key messages for the management team.
You will hold a recognised accounting qualification or be at finalist level (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
