Accounts Assistant
£27,000 per annum

A client of ours in the Newmarket area are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm (40 hours per week) and paying up to £27,000 per annum depending on experience.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
Process purchase and sales invoices, credit notes, and supplier invoices using ERP and Sage software.
Manage credit control and ensure debtors comply with company procedures.
Complete quarterly grant monitoring form and collate delivery notes from stores.
Match supplier invoices and resolve processing issues with stores.
Send processed invoices to the Financial Director for payment if not by DD.
Email daily supplier remittances and file paid invoices.
Reconcile supplier accounts monthly and resolve issues with suppliers.
Send monthly customer statements and follow up on overdue invoices.
Process credit card receipts and monthly statements.
Assist with Spares support during busy periods, and cover for holidays/sickness.
Help with stocktake in November.
Some admin duties are required such as processing sales orders and helping during busy periods.
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Accounts Assistant position:
Previous accountancy experience in a similar role essential
Excellent communication skills
Experience in using Sage 50 desirable
Excellent attention to detail
Please note candidates must be local with own transport due to remote location
