About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and talented Electrical and Electronic Systems Specialist to join our trailblazing team. The perfect candidate brings deep expertise in electronic and electrical systems, ideally within automotive and robotics contexts. This role demands a proactive individual with a racing-oriented mindset, ready to adapt to the fast-paced and evolving environment of autonomous motorsports.
The role will be based in Sint-Truiden, Belgium but will include frequent international travel to provide support during testing sessions and competitive racing events. As a result, flexibility around the work schedule is required, including your availability on evenings and in weekends.
Key Responsibilities:

Advanced Electronics Management: Lead the operation, diagnostics, and maintenance of state-of-the-art electronic systems, including brake-by-wire, steer-by-wire, and sophisticated MoTeC control units.

Autonomous Systems Integration: Expertly integrate and manage autonomous driving sensors such as LiDAR, radar, GNSS, and advanced camera systems, ensuring flawless operational performance.

Electrical System Design: Create, interpret, and refine precise electrical schematics for autonomous racing vehicles, emphasizing clarity, accuracy, and ease of maintenance.

Technical Excellence: Hands-on disassembly, meticulous inspection, maintenance, and precise reassembly of intricate electronic and electrical components.

Mechanical Interface: Utilize basic mechanical skills to effectively support the seamless integration of electronic systems into high-performance vehicle frameworks.

Race-Day Technical Support: Provide crucial real-time technical assistance during racing events, collaborating closely with the race team and adapting quickly to dynamic track-side conditions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Electronics Specialist: Extensive experience with advanced electronic systems, notably brake-by-wire and steer-by-wire technologies. Familiarity with sensors like LiDAR, radar, GNSS, and cameras is highly advantageous.

Electrical Systems Mastery: Proven ability to manage, interpret, and implement electrical schematics accurately and effectively.

Practical Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in the maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic and electrical systems, with excellent manual dexterity.

Technical Credentials: Technical diploma or equivalent qualification in electronics, automotive engineering, or related fields.
