Job Purpose:
Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enforcing business controls including policies and procedures as well as accounting processes and providing financial expertise for the European region.
Job Description:
* Work closely with Business Unit controllers and HQ Controllers.
* Establish and maintain an effective business control environment, coordinate external and internal audits, perform training and business controls and financial reviews, make recommendations for improvement, and ensure timely implementation.
* Work with the Global Controller to evaluate and harmonize internal procedures and controls, including delegation of authority and budgetary spending controls.
* Become intimately familiar with business practices, systems, and processes to ensure accuracy in business transactions, financial results, and projections.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 10+ years of accounting and finance experience.
* CPA required.
* At least 3 years of management experience with a strong track record of developing staff across Europe.
* Proficiency in information technology, particularly Microsoft Excel, enterprise systems, and business intelligence applications.
* SAP and BPC/BW experience preferred.
* Expertise in accounting concepts, practices, and procedures with a broad understanding of the shared service center model.
