An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Operations team at the Steelpark site in Wolverhampton. As the largest operational facility in Distribution UK & Ireland, our Steelpark site plays a pivotal role in the success of our business.
Our Shift Maintenance engineers work a 3 shift pattern, Monday - Friday and are responsible for proficiently servicing all process and auxiliary equipment within Steelpark, with a focus on reducing downtime and enhancing cost efficiency.
What you will do
The principal responsibilities of this role are to support operations teams by performing necessary breakdown repairs, leading preventative maintenance activity and facilitating the promotion of engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure process availability, business objectives and productivity targets are maintained.

Additional responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to:
Reporting and recording of maintenance and repair details for all work activities, using the appropriate maintenance management and IT systems
To support the department in the development and implementation of processes which comply with the Tata Steel H&S Management System
Utilising the planned maintenance system (Pirana), raising emerging work orders detailing non conformities observed and proposed corrective actions necessary to resolve issues
Support the Engineering team to determine root cause and measures appropriate to prevent reoccurrence
Ensuring clear and concise records are maintained in order trends can be determined and corrective actions identified
What you will need
To be considered for this position you must be qualified at a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade or have served a recognised apprenticeship.
You will need to demonstrate a sound electrical background and proven track record. The successful candidate will operate as part of a small team and should be fully conversant with current health & safety regulations.
Ideally you will have experience of electrical maintenance and fault finding within a heavy engineering / industrial environment, essential to the role is the ability to adapt to new equipment. You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop.
