Our client has a unique opportunity for a Legal Assistant or Paralegal to support the work of their Private Client department. This role will suit someone who has recently graduated with a law degree and has obtained legal work experience whilst studying (paid or non-paid) and ideally having studied a private client module.
You will be supporting a small team of Solicitors alongside the Head of Department and duties will include:
* Providing the first point of contact for clients
* Relaying messages for other team members and scheduling their telephone appointments
* Delivering updates about the status of client’s cases, responding to enquiries, and explaining any relevant developments by telephone, email and mail
* Scanning, filing and archiving documents, certificates and IDs
* Keeping detailed records of client correspondence on the CRM
* Ordering relevant certificates from Councils and the GRO
* Liaising with client’s causing undue delay to reach solutions and to provide reassurance
* Dealing with incoming and outgoing client post
* Assisting the Fee Earners with any administrative tasks
