The Role We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our team in Liverpool. We are well known locally for working on large masterplan developments, commercial buildings, education and healthcare buildings, industrial buildings, tall buildings and the repurposing, assessment and appraisal of existing buildings and structures. You will be working independently and under limited supervision within a team and will have responsibility for delivering a wide variety of project types, developing early-stage concept designs, reviewing and quality checking information before it is issued and also representing Curtins at project meetings; both during the early design stages and through the construction stage. You will also be expected to have an awareness of financial management and will be expected to participate in the quality management of projects. You will be working as part of a team reporting to a Team Leader/Principal Engineer. You will also have other engineers and technicians reporting to you in the development of our design and project information. Relative to your role will be expected to have some line management responsibility, being able to technically support and guide junior members of staff. The Right Fit Someone who has experience in delivering project work under limited or no supervision; including a working knowledge of key design software packages and an understanding of how to implement model validation on these packages. Be proficient in designing steel and reinforced concrete structures and have some experience leading and developing junior engineers and technicians. Have hands-on experience with refurbishment projects, including assessing existing structures, proposing modifications, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. You will be a Chartered Engineer or actively working under a recognised professional Institution training pathway.
