Teacher of Biology
Permanent, part time
Start Date: September 2025
Closing Date: 30 April 2025
King Edwards School is a leading HMC, co-educational, independent day school in the Southwest of England which provides a rich and stimulating curriculum where academic excellence is supported by excellent pastoral care and balanced with a wealth of exciting co-curricular opportunities.
Applications are invited from energetic and well-qualified university graduates or teachers seeking to be part of a dynamic and well-resourced Biology department which teaches the subject from Year 7 up to A-level.
The post is part-time (with between 0.4 to 0.6 FTE being available) and the successful applicant should be able to demonstrate good organisational skills, a willingness to innovate and the ability to foster positive and supportive relationships with both pupils and staff in the department. We are an inclusive school and welcome applications from people of all beliefs and backgrounds.
A willingness to make a wider contribution to the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the School is expected.
King Edward’s School operates its own salary scale, which is enhanced above the National State Qualified Teachers’ Scale and the salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
