Reporting to the Product Lead - Fittings, the Production Trainer will be responsible for training and assessment within Production, including the training and assessment of MHE certification across Production and Distribution and the delivery of Toolbox Talks.
The role
* Deliver training in line with current procedures and assess employee task competence while adhering to all Health and Safety policies and procedures
* Conduct engaging and effective training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques and formats, including presentations, demonstrations, simulations and workshops
* Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, providing comprehensive training on policies, procedures, equipment operation and safety protocols
* Deliver Toolbox Talks and safety briefings to all production areas
* Deliver MHE training for all Production and Distribution areas as and when required
* Support the development and review of learning resources, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), risk assessments and competence documentation
* Ensure training sessions are delivered in accordance with established schedules and that all employees receive timely and relevant training
* Adapt learning methods and materials to suit individual learning styles
* Conduct regular training and assessment meetings with line managers and/or Training Coordinator
* Undertake any training requirements in relation to procedures/equipment introduced to site
The profile
The successful candidate will possess previous experience of operating assembly and MHE equipment and have a working knowledge of production processes within the manufacturing sector. The postholder will hold experience of ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards and have knowledge of quality standards.
A degree of computer literacy is required for the role and the postholder must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required in addition to strong organisational skills and an ability to motivate individuals in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
