Job Role: ContOCC System Analyst Job Location: Bedford Borough Council Salary: £440.46 per day Working Period: Monday - Friday Working Hours: 35 hours per week - (5 days per week) Assignment Period: 6 months (temporary contract) Bedford Borough Council Children’s Services are undertaking a change programme for placements processes and recording. A number of workstreams have been identified to deliver improvements and a System Analyst is now required to support the programme. Expertise with Liquid logic Children’s System and ContrOCC is essential, preferably as a systems administrator with experience of forms design and experience in ContrOCC of setting up costed services. Experience with Business Analysis techniques to document requirements and evaluate potential solutions is also essential. Good oral and written communication skills are also required. The role will work closely with the System Development Group, the Children’s Placements Improvement Programme, Children’s Services, and the Systems Administration team. Role Responsibilities: Manage the Action Plan detailing systems improvements and recommendations from Phase 1 and lead on their next steps (e.g. Service to action, develop Options Appraisal, develop Business Case). Create and maintain Service Action Plans for increasing data literacy and data awareness. Research and report to Childrens Management on potential refinements to the System Development Group and gaps in capacity and responsibilities for data and systems, to inform strategic service decisions. Document high level ecomap of Childrens data and systems, promote quick wins for data consolidation and identify underused systems or significant gaps. Options Appraisals, Outline or Full Business Cases to support proposed system changes. Highlight any future cost of change. Experience of Childrens Social Care. Ability to specify system changes including forms design, change controls and writing specifications. Strong communication and organisational skills and experience of creating a range of documentation including Issues Logs, Business Cases and training material. Use of Microsoft Office software including Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Willingness to learn new processes and systems and challenge existing working practices.
