About Birdie
Birdie is the leading home healthcare technology platform that aims to radically transform the lives of older adults. Its all-in-one solution supports around 4.8 million (and growing) care visits every month, equipping care providers with the tools they need to deliver better quality care and improve efficiency across most day-to-day operations. This enables us to collect over 1.5 billion data points on care recipient wellbeing each year, making Birdie the holder of the largest structured community healthcare dataset in Europe.
Birdie was founded in 2017, a B-Corp certified company that leverages technology to reimagine home care. With a total raise to date of $55M, we secured our Series B funding in 2022 led by Sofina, Omers, and Index Ventures, fueling our mission to transform care.
Recognised for its innovation and impact, Birdie has received numerous accolades, including ranking 6th in the 2023 Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 and 21st in Deloitte's EMEA Technology Fast 500 in 2024. We joined Tech Nation's prestigious Future Fifty 2024 cohort and were featured in the Sifted 100 list of fastest-growing UK & Ireland startups in 2024. Furthermore, Birdie was named an NHS England Assured Supplier for Digital Social Care Records in 2023 and won the Innovative Solutions in Home Care Award at the 2024 Leaders in Care Awards.

Your mission at Birdie
Your mission will be to give Birdie customers insight into the quality and efficiency of the care they deliver, highlighting where and how they can improve. You’ll be attacking this as part of a small, dedicated analytics product squad including a product manager and a data engineer. As part of this team, you’ll be responsible for developing the data models and success metrics that care organisations rely on to optimise their organisation.
How you will contribute
* You will have a passion for empowering people with data and a curiosity for understanding how data can better improve their world. You will need to rapidly develop a deep understanding of the care provider goals and think of innovative ways to measure their progress towards these goals. To grow your understanding of healthcare at home, it will be crucial to build strong relationships with Birdie’s product managers as well as shadowing sales and support calls with Birdie customers.
* You’ll also have a meticulous approach to developing data products, ensuring users can fully trust the data & insights provided. You’ll need to quickly acquire a detailed understanding of available data sources and any relevant limitations. Cultivating good relationships with product delivery engineers will be critical - enabling your work to benefit from their expertise either via pair programming or code reviews.
* The problems you will be working on have not been solved before in Healthtech. To succeed, a willingness to experiment, embrace challenges, and continuously grow in your role will be essential.
We'd love to hear from you, if you:
* Possess advanced SQL skills, capable of efficiently transforming large raw event-based datasets.
* Have expertise in using DBT for developing well-documented, easy-to-use data models. You should also be well-practiced leveraging schema and unit testing to ensure data quality.
* Are highly proficient with BI tools like Looker, Power BI, or Tableau with an eye for making intuitive dashboard interfaces.
