Are you passionate about creating content that brings teams together and builds an adventurous workplace? We're looking for an energetic, creative, and social-first Employee Communications & Engagement Apprentice to join our team. You'll help shape and share the Virgin spirit across our organisation, and in return, we promise an experience filled with fun, learning and growth opportunities.
As our Employee Communications & Engagement Apprentice, you'll play a key role in keeping our people informed, engaged, and inspired. You'll gain tons of brilliant experience in event management and content creation, eventually taking ownership of these areas. Working within our Communications and Engagement team, you'll ensure our daily communications are engaging and help deliver a truly Virgin experience for all employees.
Event management and coordination
* Support and coordinate events: Assist in planning and executing hybrid and in-person events that bring our employees together both at our Virgin HQ, and across the Virgin Group. You'll help manage logistics, communicate with vendors, and ensure each event runs smoothly from start to finish.
* Be the go-to event guru: From brainstorming fun themes to managing RSVPs and preparing event materials, you'll help create memorable, engaging experiences for our team.
Content creation and a social-first mindset
* Day-to-day content creation: You'll create and post vibrant, compelling content that reflects Virgin's fun, innovative, and unique culture. From writing short social-style posts to creating fun videos that bring our internal social channels to life, you'll have the chance to shape our team's narrative.
* Bring a social-first lens: You'll think creatively to bring our stories to life, ensuring every post has that Virgin flair. You'll use video, graphics, and storytelling to connect with our team in engaging ways.
Communications support and administration
* Manage the team mailbox and queries: As the front line for our team's inbox, you'll ensure inquiries are addressed quickly and support any troubleshooting issues with a solution-oriented mindset.
* Stay organised and proactive: Support the administration of key projects, making sure no detail goes unnoticed and our communications plan stays on track.
What you'll need
We're looking for someone who's as enthusiastic about employee engagement as we are! The ideal candidate will bring a mix of creativity, organisational skills, and a love for teamwork. You don't need years of experience-just a can-do attitude, curiosity, creativity and an eagerness to learn.

* Social-first perspective: You understand how to craft content for social media platforms and are up-to-date with the latest digital trends, and unafraid to try new things.
* Strong communicator: You're confident, friendly, and able to write and communicate in a way that reflects the Virgin tone-down-to-earth, fun, and engaging.
* Proactive and solution-focused: You love to find ways to help things run smoother and are happy to tackle new challenges head-on.

* Apprenticeship: L4 Public Relations and Communications Apprenticeship. This apprenticeship combines real work experience with comprehensive training across key areas. You'll master PR fundamentals and content creation to craft compelling stories, dive into digital and social media strategy to engage modern audiences and learn essential campaign planning and measurement... and loads more! You'll gain practical skills while earning, transforming you into a well-rounded communications professional ready for today's media landscape.
* Role type: Permanent
* Location: London hub (ideally two days per week, with a minimum of one day per week) & your home space
* Salary: £28,500, plus annual bonus
* Working hours: Full time (inclusive of learning time).
