About the job: Ensuring all employees and contractors follow Group/Company Health & Safety, Environmental and corporate legal guidelines are adhered to and followed at all times. Initially the role will entail working as part of the project team in supporting the construction of the new state of the art containerboard machine. This will then proceed to commissioning and start-up of the machine. Lead, engage, motivate a team of Managers & employees by coaching/mentoring to encourage employee engagement throughout Production and also develop team work across site. Lead and support with recruitment, development of key positions and also team performance of all employees. Develop and grow the teams with performance management processes. Lead a newly built, state of the art containerboard machine to ensure production targets and budgets are achieved. Lead the Optimisation of Paper machine performance by collaborating with the OEM to achieve world class levels of operational performance. Lead budget setting and control on all aspects within the Papermill area aligned to group budgeting structures. Drive a continuous improvement culture by utilising lean tools and processes from the beginning of the production phase. Utilise fully the advanced digital packages that will allow effective reporting and analysis of data streams. Lead effective problem-solving teams utilising site wide lean problem-solving processes. Collaborate with the Engineering team and regional teams to ensure world class levels of reliability and maintenance development. Facilitate effective teamworking both within your new team and site-wide with others including Engineering, OCC, CHP, Finance, HR etc. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering, manufacturing, paper making is essential. Minimum 5 years’ previous experience working at a senior level within papermaking Leadership qualifications – MBA, ILM (Level 5 or above) or equivalent. Ability to communicate clearly, persuasively and network site wide is essential. IT literate with previous experience of using SAP. Highley motivated, agile, results driven with the ability to problem solve are essential. Ability to work under pressure, with a logical, systematic manner. Flexible, can-do altitude who works well within a team and the ability to challenge the status quo. Working Conditions: You will initially work onsite within the Project village during construction work and will predominantly be working in a portacabin. You will be required to travel within UK and Overseas as required.
