Electrical Preconstruction Manager – D&B Fit Out Projects £55,000 - £60,000 £6,000 Car Allowance Industry-Leading Bonus Scheme Middleton / Manchester| ️ Commercial, Education & Leisure Fit Outs We’re working with a progressive and growing M&E contractor who deliver high-quality Design & Build projects across the commercial, education, and leisure sectors. With project values typically ranging between £250k–£1m (and up to £5m), they’re now looking to bring in an Electrical Preconstruction Manager to help shape the front-end process and guide clients through the early stages of their projects. This is a key client-facing role where you’ll be advising on design feasibility, rough cost planning, and helping to bring client visions to life. You’ll then work closely with the in-house design and delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction through to delivery. The Role: Act as the first point of contact for clients in the early stages of project development. Advise on design feasibility, technical requirements, value engineering options, and rough budget estimates. Develop strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor to clients. Support the preparation of bids, scopes of work, cost plans, and assist in early-stage design reviews. Liaise with internal design and project management teams once projects are secured. Typically working on fast-paced D&B fit-outs with durations of around 12 weeks. What We’re Looking For: Strong background in electrical building services, ideally within a preconstruction or estimating capacity. Excellent communication skills with the confidence to advise clients directly. Understanding of design & build methodology, especially for commercial, leisure, and education projects. Ability to work autonomously in a collaborative, open, and non-hierarchical business. Commercially aware and able to identify value engineering and design efficiencies.
